Exercising your authority over a situation does not mean you are arrogant or a bully – especially if the issue really needs your guidance. Don’t let someone make you feel bad about doing what you feel is the best thing. You have a responsibility now to see something through. You are doing – as you always do – the best you can. If that means managing someone who isn’t doing the job, or changing the way something gets done, then so be it. Trust your knowledge and insight, and use the power that is in your hands to make a difference.
