The World Is Her Canvas

© IvyWell Digital Imagery, photographer: Chesney Peyton 2010-2011

During an unexpected trip planned by Matt, to buy me a new camera bag and a couple of other various camera accessories as a belated Christmas gift, our daughter became somewhat bored while I’d been attempting to capture a few impromptu photos of the moon along with the city skyline. She’d ultimately decided she felt like drawing; but after not finding any paper immediately handy, he suggested that she give him a “tattoo” while they patiently waited for me to finish up.
…And so Daddy’s hand became her canvas.

    • Thanks so much, Lynne!
*laughs* She’s 12 yrs; and really is a wonderful artist …so gifted. She actually began drawing when she was 2, using either the simple Paint program on the computer, paper (with pen only), her Magna Doodle, and/or her dolls’ faces (while we were traveling over the road with my husband, who used to be an OTR (over-the-road) truck driver). Lol! Since then, she’s graduated to primarily using her Bamboo Wacom Tablet connected to her computer, and uploads a few of her favorites to deviantART.

  1. As the “tattooist’s” father, I absolutely agree that she really is a great artist. The one that she drew in the photo took her less than 5 minutes to complete; you should see a lot of her other work. And her mom takes amazing photos… She has a ton more that she doesn’t even have posted here.
